Entering its 4th year, KiptonART Rising is an annual program where promising new artists are selected by the KiptonART Curatorial Team. The aim of the program is to enhance the visibility of talented artists who can achieve greater success and exposure to gallery owners, collectors and curators through KiptonART’s time, energy and resources.
“I’m so proud of the work we are doing to help promote emerging artists” says Kipton Cronkite, founder of KiptonART. “It’s harder than ever to get a foothold in the art scene and with resources for artists disappearing more frequently, it’s more imperative than ever to help these talented individuals showcase their creativity.”
The program was launched in December of 2008 during Art Basel Miami. Victors from previous years have been given multiple exposure opportunities including events at SAKSFifth Avenue, Longchamp’s Soho Flagship, Setai in South Beach Miami, Christie's auction house, a solo exhibition at the James Solomon Gallery in Chelsea. In addition, each winner receives enhanced visibility on KiptonART.com for the year following the announcement (including private sales and priority placement in exhibitions and events). KiptonART promotes each finalist via their online magazine and social media channels.
