A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER
KiptonART is in the business of art. We have vast knowledge, experience and passion for the arts and creative endeavors.
Since the website launch in 2005, KiptonART.com has grown into the leading e-commerce art site for interior designers, collectors and art enthusiasts listing over 1,000 registered artists and an online art work inventory exceeding $20 million. Art buyers can select works based on various mediums including photography, painting, sculpture, prints and more. The sort by price feature and a tier ranking system analyzes education, technical ability, exhibition credits, press, and curatorial scoring of our member artists. The innovative art rental program makes art collecting accessible to a far wider audience than any of the existing analogues in the industry.
KiptonART.com collaborates with emerging artists to introduce them to art collectors, both on and offline in “Access” spaces, throughout New York City. The first exhibition was at W Hotel New York in Times Square, June 2005 for four MFA graduates from the School of Visual Arts. Over the past five years, the company has hosted over 50 events and exhibitions in New York, Bal Harbour, Florida, Miami during Art Basel, Nantuket, Southampton. Currently, plans are underway for the first artist exhibition in New Delhi, India.
The 20 Finalists, chosen by jurors from our curatorial board, will make their debut in Cohen Design Center in New York at the exclusive Andrew Martin International showroom located at 222 East 59th Street on October 5, 2010. 6 Winners will be chosen from these finalists and will embark on a traveling exhibition at the other three Cohen Design Centers in the U.S: Design Center of the Americas in Dania Beach, Florida (November 2010), The Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California (March 2011) and Decorative Center of Houston, Texas (April 2011). Currently, our 6-month pop-up is at 75 Wall Street in the heart of the Financial District. Watch video! Cohen Design Centers Team Up with KiptonART to Debut 20 KiptonART Rising Finalists
Cohen Design Centers are supporting up and coming artistic talent by teaming up with KiptonART. There will be 20 Finalists for the KiptonART Rising 2011 program that will make their debut in New York on October 5, 2010 at Andrew Martin Ltd in the ground floor of the D&D Building. The Partnership gives each of the 6 Winners chosen a chance to embark on a traveling tour to Cohen Design Centers in Miami (January 2011), Los Angeles (March 2011) and Houston (April 2011). In an effort by Cohen Design Center to help support the most sought out emerging artists, the collaboration is exclusive through KiptonART’s online artist registry and platform. About the KiptonART Rising Program:
Launched on December 6, 2008 during Art Basel Miami in the Setai South Beach, KiptonART Rising is an annual program where 6 up-and-coming artists are selected by our Curatorial Team. Over the 12 months following the announcement of the winning artists, KiptonART.com devotes time, energy and resources to enhance visibility and facilitate introductions into the art world. Since the November 2009 announcement of the 6 KiptonART Rising 2010 Winners, each were given multiple opportunities of exposure including the debut event at SAKS Fifth Avenue, New York on November 2, 2009, an exclusive opportunity at Longchamp in Soho, New York on November 6, 2009 and a solo exhibition in May 2010 at James Salomon Gallery in Chelsea, New York. Watch the Video to meet the 2010 winners!
About the KiptonART Foundation: Created as a non-profit 501c3 in May of 2009, the KiptonART Foundation facilitates the appreciation and endowment of the visual arts and music through the support of emerging talent and educational programs. The Foundation’s main focus is to promote artist-in-residency programs for emerging artists by providing stipends for them to create and sustain their work, all the while raising their profiles. The KiptonART Foundation also facilitates the fundraising efforts for the annual 6 Rising Winners. KiptonART Music:
KiptonART Music, promotes select musicians and recording artists by giving them the footing to share their talents in prestigious urban venues. In the same vein as painters and filmmakers, musicians require the support of key influencers to help galvanize media attention and the respect of major record labels. Gathering the appropriate resources to help artists enhance their career(s) is integral to KiptonART’s overall mission. At present, we are focusing our efforts on classical music, breaking the barriers of this often-elusive genre and making it more palatable to a contemporary audience. KiptonART Music events have been organized for award- winning artists such as violinist Joshua Bell, pianist Lang Lang, mezzo- soprano Joyce DiDonato, Saeunn Thorsteindottir and jazz pianist, Eldar.
Past KiptonART Music Event Artists Include: Joshua Bell, Joyce DiDonato, Lang Lang, Saeunn Thorsteindottir, Eldar
