Faux Bois Soup Tureen & Ladle

Grandmother Ellen was the inspiration for Minnesotan Ross Sveback’s passion for all things lifestyle and home. From her amazing, yet simple recipes to the delicacy of her hand-embroidered linen towels, Ross has channeled his grandmother and taken her inspiration to heart. This Midwestern boy has taken his boyhood experience and turned it into a nationally-recognized brand of cooking, dinnerware, kitchen accessories and experiences that embrace all things family, serenity and entertaining – with a special vibe that simplifies our hectic lives and makes the day-to-day rituals special and unique. Growing up in Minnesota, this self-taught cook has taken his confidence in the kitchen to a greater market and developed his brand with a blog, dinnerware collection and myriad of cooking classes focused on cooking essentials and techniques that allow cooks to take the message and grow into intuitive cooks who can take on any challenge. Now living on a 40-acre farm near Afton, MN, Ross, his daughter Hadass, 15, and Nebelung cat Kitty live daily bringing the special touches we often ignore to daily living- like using hand-embroidered kitchen towels, timeless recipes, heirloom dinnerware and lifestyle accessories to our lives. Sveback, 41, has developed a website, devoted following, online store and dinnerware collection inspired by his love of vintage and antique transferware. He’s manufactured incredible lines featuring ferns, faux bois and tweed patterns from the past, often changing up the colorways to reflect today’s living.  More lines are in process including holiday collections. He’s also become the lifestyle expert for the FOX channel in the Twin Cities as well as for WGN in Chicago, and continues to inspire addicted cooking class regulars who are eager to live his mantra: “Inspiring real people to live real lives.’’  He has been featured in Traditinoal Home, Midwest Home magazine, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles and Hampton’s Cottages & Gardens. He has worked with Carlson Companies, Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Williams-Sonoma, Dacor and SodaStream as he’s continued to grow the Ross Sveback brand.  His designs are carried in stores such as Bergdorf Goodman in NYC, B.D. Jeffries in Atlanta and Ampersand In Minneapolis. His weekly e-newsletter and website have exploded with more than 15,000 subscribers. Ross continues to live his amazing life gardening, cooking, designing, crafting and cleaning. Ultimately, his message is reflected in his unique website, www.rosssveback.com which features relatable recipes, tips and philosophies - and in his commercial products. Ross is available for speaking engagements, classes, interviews and segments as well as other relevant media opportunities. As long as they vibe with Grandma Ellen’s philosophy.
