Leibow is an artist showing nationally and internationally, with works selected by curators from the Whitney and the Metropolitan Museums of Art. His art explores the abstract, graphic and figurative subjects; that hold a distinct quality, which gives the work magnetic pull not easily defined albeit intricate and simply engaging.

Real good work could make you sweat; achieve a wider sensibility, stripping down and simplifying the media to become authentic. In this series, the artist builds from the desire to drive his work to a genuine state, different, transparent, non commercial which would be hard to fully expose otherwise. Reaching, experimenting, expanding and creating experiences within a distinct dialogue, Leibow utilizes a unique vocabulary, illuminating multiple levels of depth. Working with patterns within the media to attain the way one strides in silence, walks in song, while paring the pieces further to a singular voice.

He creates from movement and tranquility, experimenting with omniscient sense, offering something loosely childlike. Children don’t often intellectualize all that much while drawing; they dive right in, wild, yielding unrestrained icons and abstracts almost through osmosis with narrative details, and insight into their world. It is crucial to work with these connections of poetic gesture so the art evolves, as well as germinate rare versions out of previous works, to become iconic, provocative, and hold that rare breathing component which communicates a genuine spark.
