Catch me if you can

I am a painter of colours and strange and surreal stories from my own imagination. Things that definitely have had a big impact on me as an artist are: knowledge (I am a book addict), other artists, art history, the space and environment that surround me in both the literal and metaphorical sense. I have a very particular vision of art – skills, craftsmanship and imagination are the real combination of a real art; according to my definition most of the contemporary art has nothing to do with art at all. It is a fact that I think that our existence in a philosophical/cosmic sense is meaningless. Compared to the history and the dimension of the universe we humans are nothing. Because of that we shouldn’t take ourselves so damn seriously. If we could do this our lives would be 100% more tolerable. I was born in Poland in the very intriguing, multicultural but in some respects ugly city of Lódz. However I left it after becoming Master of Arts at the University of Lódz. I studied art for 7 years; at schools and at private ateliers. At the age of 15 I sold my first painting; it was abstract, oil on canvas. Most of my paintings have been sold to private collectors and to order, approximately 141 works in total to 75 collectors, two art galleries and a Museum of Fine Art in USA.
