Josee Nadeau, is an internationally known painter. Her impressionistic style and larger than life paintings grace the homes of many avid art lovers and collectors such as Clint Eastwood, Frances Fisher, Pierce Brosnan, David Hyde Pierce and many more.

At the invitation of Florence Vdk, Josee lived and worked at Monet's Garden for 10 years developing her style as their guest painter. It was at the Garden where she met and worked with the esteemed French art expert Gerald Van der Kemp, who is noted for saving the Mona Lisa and resurrecting the Garden in 1976. Josee is a fine Art Graduate (1985) from Concordia University, Montreal. She has been honored in a featured article and the cover of the University magazine in 1999. She was the main feature, in July 2001, of a Japanese magazine called "25 ans". That same year during a one man show in Montreal, Pierce Brosnan who was on location filming a movie, purchased one of her works. Josee has been featured in many newspaper articles and a televised interview with Jamie Orchard.  While meeting George Harrison from The Beatles, music and motion entered her life. She has performed live painting on stages in Montreal and on Broadway at the Gala Spring in Paris for the Dress for Success honoring Harry Belafonte.

Josee’s private portfolio of paintings at Art Expo will feature the ‘Spirit Collection’ from Nadeau’s time spent living near the Timpanogos Mountains next to Robert Redford’s Sundance Resort. Says Josee: “I am thrilled to be back at Art Expo I was featured last in 2006 by Joe Jancurak in Art Business News when I was the chosen artist with Hewlett-Packard printers. This time Nadeau’s paintings will portray the magical spirit that exemplifies the strenghts of both native americans and cowboys. Her paintings boldly communicate the essence of what is readily regarded as the “west”: as and still is all about: Earth, Life and light”.

Ms. Nadeau has been featured in 15 Countries throughout Europe as well as Japan and the US. Josee is best known for her work from her 10 years in Paris and Giverny where she was the guest of the curator of the most visited garden in the World; Claude Monet’s Garden. It was here that Ms. Nadeau worked with the esteemed French Art Expert Gerald Van der Kemp. “I had become the protege of the man who saved the Mona Lisa and I did not even know it”, says Mrs.Nadeau. After his death in 2001, Van der Kemp’s widow, Florence, offered his prized studio at Claude Monet’s Garden. Nadeau spent countless hours painting in the gardens inspired by the very same impressions, colors and scents that inspired Monet himself.

After Giverny, Ms. Nadeau moved to Utah, where the beauty and light captured her heart and mind and inspired her much like Monet’s garden had done.
