Kornfeld, 26, has always had a strong passion for portraiture. From an early age she was inspired by photographers such as Shelby Lee Adams and Emmit Gowin. Since graduating from Bard, Kornfeld has lived in London, New York, and Beijing. For past year and half Kornfeld has been working in China creating a large body of portraits focused on the Chinese Contemporary Art community.
Kornfeld has won numerous high profile awards including the Deloitte Commission from the National Portrait Gallery in London, England for best photographic portrait by a photographer under twenty-five years old.
