Emily Baker was born (1979) and raised in New York City. From an early age, she took up drawing and painting, developing her skills through watercolors. She majored in Studio Art at Middlebury College, where she received her B.A. in 2001. After graduating, Emily promptly returned to NYC, where she has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator while building her portfolio of oil and watercolor paintings, which focus on the relationship between the individual and their environment. Emily is regularly commissioned and her work has been shown at galleries in both NYC and Eastern Long Island.
