Born in Bitburg Germany 1963, Debra currently resides in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Debra is a freelance photographer, and exhibiting artist. Debra attended the Atlanta College of Art. Debra has pursued a lifetime of photography, painting, drawing, mixed media nurtured by a family of professional artists.
Recent work takes Debra to the performance artisans working within the Cirque du Soleil family. Current work includes photographing Elena Lev who is a hoop artist as well as a rhythmic gymnast in the current production of Wintuk; as well as Duo Design, a gymnastic duo who performs worldwide. New work will be uploaded soon. Debra is also working on photographing Rastafari natives of the West Indies working in close relationship with Dr. Jake Homiak who has curated the Smithsonian's "Discover Rastafari!" exhibition. This is a long photographic journey and work will be unveiled over time. More documentary in it's focus, the work hopefully will capture a portraiture of a people, in the same quality and beauty that Edward S. Curtis captured the Native American Indians.
