I began using photography to communicate emotional narratives that incorporated cinematic characteristics. After reaching my conceptual limit with the photograph itself I turned to video to relay my narratives. My videos utilize music instead of verbal dialog; and have focused on concepts of voyeurism, drama, and tragedy. Having returned to photography I have decided not to focus on the cinematic mood that my work inherently projects but to let it exist as an undercurrent that flows through the images regardless of the subject. Currently, I am working with the concepts of memory, the psychology of the brain, and women using portraiture and landscape. Going forward I see my work mainly in the form of installations, creating environments, using sound, video, and photography.
