Amy Herman attended Boston University School of Fine Arts where she pursued her love of art and design. She then attended The University of Miami School of Art where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and was presented with the outstanding student Graphic Design award. Amy also attended Harvard Universities Continuing Education program where she studied product design. After graduation Amy moved to New York City and started a career in advertising, working as an art director for national consumer print and television campaigns.She produced work for Tylenol, RJ Reynolds, Vanity Fair, Lenox China, US Shoe, Cunard Cruise Lines, and The Travel Chanel. She then worked as an art director for Bonwit Teller and Bergdorf Goodman Department stores. Amy moved back to Florida in 1992 where she presently works in Interior Design while pursuing her life long passion of making art. Her Interior Design work and painting has been featured in Miami Magazine on numerous occasions. Amy’s accomplishments are many, including prizes awarded from the University of Miami, the Florida Society of Fine Arts, The Miami Herald and Sears Roebuck & Company. Her photographic work was accepted into a juried competition and appeared at Art Basel Miami 2011 as well as The Artist Project NYC 2011. Amy attributes her artistic success to the good fortune of having studied with South Florida artists such as Roberto Martinez, Gene Massin, Andrew Morgan, and Christine Federighi.
