Artist Mary Lonergan creates work that stimulates strong emotional, intellectual and physical response using vibrant color and movement. “A certain piece can reach in and grab you, demanding your presence. I like that." She believes strongly in the curative properties of art and is grateful to those who unveil themselves through that process. Her influences include Peter Max, Wolf Kahn, Julian Schnabel and Andy Goldsworthy. Mary had her first public show of work at the Florence Biennale International Art Show in December 2007 and will be participating in two international shows this year with OpenArt Code in London and Monaco. She co-founded and currently curates an employee art program, Art Among Us, at the CBS Interactive office in San Francisco, California. Mary currently resides in Northern California and is a member of Pro Arts Gallery in Oakland and the Berkeley Art Center in Berkeley.
