Avery McCarthy is a graduate of the BFA Photography program at the School of Visual Arts, NY. Trained as a photographer and working as a fine artist, McCarthy creates work about the underlying relationships, structures, and forms in our world. He often incorporates opposing dualities and approaches into his work: big and small, analog and digital, abstract and representational, conceptual and technical, philosophical and instinctual. Above all, the work seeks to give it's viewers a deeper appreciation and understanding of the world around them.
