The project is a dual process of filtering and commenting on the Lebanese pop singers and the canon of physical beauty and perfection they convey in their music videos. In parallel, it addresses the imagery production and use in our digitally enhanced world. The outcome of the images is more emotional than physical; the “Faciality” is enhanced yet the face is not necessarily clearly defined. The videos are a commentary on our mass exposure to images we deal with every day. It all starts with still shots taken off an iphone screen playing a YouTube video of female artists.
